Thieves Like Us.

What has brought me out of hiding? Someone named Resplendent, "author" of an Open Diary called Past Imperfect. Someone alerted me on email (thanks!) that she of the gaping maw is prone to stealing writing. Her adventures here, obviously, are stolen from a post I made here, while another post is a combination of things I'd written here, and here. That's a brilliant amalgamation, by the way: a bird taps on her window, and this makes her want to have sex.

She's obviously a recalcitrant plagiarist, since she's also taken pieces from The Morning News Online, or from well-known bloggers like Anna Beth at Hashai. As you can see from the readers' comments, it's not as if people haven't caught on, but weirdly this hardly seems to faze her. (I can't tell if she's still blogging, though.) It's a bit hilarious to see her pretend -- like, she went to Taiwan, y'all, just like Anna Beth! And at other times, she leads the same mundane life as a middle-aged fag in Asia! It's also funny because, in my Real Life, I have to deal with plagiarism, and in fact just a week ago I had to bust someone for stealing material from an online MA thesis. I killed him with my bare hands.

I guess I myself will borrow a line from one of my favorite blogs, The Soxaholix, which has also been immortalized in a T-shirt: "My Resplendence Has No Bitch!" Although maybe the line should be inverted for the occasion?
